Welcome

I am drawn to where sunlight plays upon water, dances on and between tree trunks, their leaves, on a meadow, along a path and on the sides of mountains. It calls me. The colors of the changing light across a landscape fascinate me from morning to evening, from one season to the next. Shadows, patterns and contrast all play a part. Since they are elusive, I record what I see in photographs as I want to capture it before it fades. Then in the studio, I work to intensify the emotion it conveys to me by painting it in pastels or acrylic so it may continue to be experienced by others and before urban

development encroaches on it.
